Play Dough, Work outs, and Dress-Up

We try to stay busy at the Mery house. Picture collages has taken up a good potion of my time these days (as you can tell). Nathan has no problem with staying busy with work. It is crazy but good. He's really liking the everyday challenges that Angola brings. He is the best husband! Even after a super busy work week, he took on the kids alone Friday night so I could take a break. Another mom-friend and I ventured to Belas Shopping where the movie theater is. We saw 'This Means War' with Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine and Tom Hardy. The movie was awesome! It is definitely on my list to purchase when it comes out on DVD. Great rom-com plus action scenes.

Since our things from home haven't arrived... nor have they left Houston... I made the kids play dough. They LOVE it! We spent 2 1/2 hours playing the first day. And another hour the next. Loads of fun and it brings on their amazing imaginations.

Work outs are serious at the Mery house! The kids love grabbing Nathan's push-up bars and work out like Daddy. Riley was so cute grunting and getting on her tippy-toes. Even kicked her legs up a few times.

Owen is hard core! When he works out, he is all business. Pops his feet up on the back of the couch and starts the push-ups. Bring it biceps!

Of course after a good work out, it's dress-up time. Riley is really into putting on clothes no matter who's they are. She looked precious in Daddy's shirt. She didn't manage to get the shorts on, but she doesn't really have enough body for all that. She put Owen's pj shorts on after bath time. Quite the picture (even though I didn't snap one...), naked Riley with Owen's pj shorts around her tummy. How you ask? Well her WHOLE little body fits in ONE leg of his shorts. Ha!

So this picture is just too cute not to share! This is Nathan, a 3-year old pug my brother Cody adopted about a month ago. Isn't he adorable?!

Ciao!
