We love our mommies!

Volleyball is a blessing and a curse.... I love coaching but tournaments seem to fall on important the Spring holidays, Easter and Mother's Day. So my loving family celebrated with me before I left for the weekend. Nathan helped Owen make me breakfast, chorizo and egg tacos! Nathan also assisted Owen in getting me beautiful flowers and a card. So wonderful!

Most of you know Nathan is working on his MBA. He is very close to graduating (yeah!) and needed to stay in Houston to do his MBA Conference. Owen, Riley and I loaded up and make the short trek to Austin. Janet, Guy, Amanda, Mitchell and Lauren were amazing and watched the kids for me while I coached all weekend. After the tournament was over, Mitch and Lauren cooked diner for Janet and me helping make Mother's Day even better. Yummy tacos! And the best cupcakes in Austin for dessert!

Easter fun

This Easter was very special. Owen was old enough to understand the Easter bunny came and that meant finding eggs. We celebrated a little early since I had a volleyball tournament in Dallas and wasn't going to be there. Nathan braved church alone with 2 kids and did amazing! He had Owen take the offering to the front when all the kids do it. He walked straight up to the priest, handed him the money, and proudly said, "Happy Easter Eggs!" So awesome!

Nathan and the kids later spent the day at my Mom's with Grammi, Lee, Ashley and Kara. They had a wonderful time finding eggs and dressing up like bunnies.

My bunnies! The cousins

Praise God and all He has given me in my life for I do not deserve it, but will cherish every moment and continue to give thanks.

Time flies!

It's been a while since I've posted anything. We've been very busy! Riley turned 6 months old on January 12th. She weighs 16lbs 3oz and is already trying to crawl! She is a sweetheart and her personality shines through her big smile!

Meanwhile big brother Owen keeps us on our toes! He is definitely in the stage of we have no idea what's going to come out of his mouth next! Here's an example: B and I took the kids to the zoo. We were watching some monkeys swing from their tails.

Me: Owen, do you have a tail like a monkey?
Owen: No Mommy. I have a weenie.

Yes, B and I were speechless and then cracked up!

My club volleyball team, Fort bend Fire 18 Molten, has been to 3 tournaments this month! That only left 1 free weekend.... phew! The girls and parents are awesome! I'm loving coaching them. They are a great group of girls!

Nathan went to China, but to read more about his trip check out the Daddy's Trips by Owen page for all the fun from Owen's perspective. :)

Santa Claus is coming to town!

We went to see Santa today. Owen did great! He walked right up and asked for a train. So cute! Laughingly he told Santa "Look at your silly hat." Haha!! He didn't really want to sit with him but he was a trooper. Riley was perfect. Next year will probably be her screaming red face year.

A Wonderful Thanksgiving

What a wonderful Thanksgiving! We spent 5 days in Austin with a day trip to San Antonio. Here are some pictures.

Owen "riding" Chacha's motorcycle/scooter.

My sweet daughter looking at her daddy. Love it!

Chacha set up a paint area for Owen. I'm VERY thankful I stripped him down to only his pull-up before the painting commenced. :)

Owen's buddy Cadie came over. Aunt Amanda and her friend let the 2-year olds help make sugar cookies. They had a blast!

Here is a new adorable picture of Owen and Riley! I can't get enough of them!

It was Nathan and my 5 year college reunion this past weekend. We dropped Owen off with ChaCha and Jido and headed to Georgetown with Riley-girl. It was so fun being back on campus! I no longer think visiting your alma mater is over-rated. This is probably mostly because I met Nathan on that campus on the very first day of school of our freshman year at Southwestern....wait for it......... NINE years ago. Whoa! Ok, that's out of the way....

We checked out the KA House, the ZTA chapter room, the new buildings, everything. Oh and raided the bookstore. What can I say? If WalMart carried SU stuff I wouldn't have raided the SU bookstore, but since they don't and let's see, NO where else does... raided is the appropriate term.

Here are some great picture with our college friends. Hopefully at our 10 year reunion more people will be able to make it. BTW, Riley was a huge hit! Of course! And Owen was spoiled rotten with ChaCha like he should be when staying with grandparents. :)
